The Final Chapter

This is the place where you’ll find the lyric writing work which I’ve been working on over the past number of months, probably since perhaps April of this year (2024). My scribbles have been on my notepad I carry about with me all the time and resides in my back-pocket, or my notebook which resides at my desk here next to the pc.

I’ve presently got five generations of lyric, I’m now at E. Folder A is the original scribble and far too often is a lot of dribble, but sometimes from that scribble of dribble there’s perhaps the germ of an idea. I think from generation C I’ve split the lyrics into different projects, this has helped me to focus on the particular ideas. There’s five projects, the descriptive project, the love project, the Flatsound project which is basically feelings of agoraphobia, there’s the campaign project and last but not least a project that I know I won’t place here. Perhaps that needs a bit of explaining. In the writing word you’re going to be writing about all sorts of things, but there’s only so much of your mind you are willing to share. The material in this project isn’t to be shared

A lot of lyrics have been placed here, I’m still busy editing/assessing to generation F (which doesn’t exist as yet), then I may look at creating music for them, we’ll see. I’m not wanting to get ahead of myself however, I’m still writing lyrics on a near daily basis and I think I’m getting back to the sharpness that many that paid me in the past said I was, we shall see.

This place will develop as the weeks and months go by, unlike the other three groupings which were basically me simply wanting to place my material on site for you to look at. So, keep up to speed and regularly visit. I want to add a blog section so lyric-writers and tunesmiths can collaborate and discuss various ways forward with a particular lyric. Just remember to make me aware if you’re working on one so if interest from another party comes forth I can let them know that they’ll need to wait to find out the results of whomever is presently working on it.

Next year I’ll be reducing my hours regards the day job since I’ve now got my state pension (yes I’ve been around the block a good few times), I know there’s software out there which will allow me to compare what is on my site with what is on the lyric databases, perhaps a request for finance or a law suit will follow, we’ll see. Want to make contact, the email address is at the home page. All material found here is my material, many lyrics I’ve collaborated in studios in the past is not here cause it’s no longer all mine.

And so, enjoy browsing my material.
