It doesn’t matter how hard he’ll try
He wants to live a life that isn’t a lie
He tries to look forward but always looks back
He never gains traction on what he may lack.
His wife walked out it’s now maybe a year
Two kids and a dog are gone disappeared
His solitude silence when he goes for a walk
He’s not going anywhere his life he’ll easily mock.
Tip-toeing around what he’s meant to know
He lives in a void should turn round and grow
Easy to say so hard to the best thing let go…
He’s in the failing void.
Thinking of those he loves and are now gone
He knows he’s supposed to be unbelievably strong
But love is what love is it’s not off then on…
He’s in the failing void.
He’s in his thirties and he thinks on what’s failed
A lot of what’s happened has simply derailed
He’s not done one thing wrong but work far too hard
He’s wrong in his thinking his label’s expired.
