My Life Ain’t Moved On

I remember Butlins was a great place to go
To play with all they kids that you didn’t even know
And I’ve stayed in contact with a few and what does that show…
My life ain’t moved on.

I’ve seen me get soaking just going for a walk
I’m all on my own in the rain and who’ll talk
I’ve tried to be someone not me in the dock…
My life ain’t moved on.

What am I trying to do what do I want to do
Why do I stand in the pouring rain and think on what’s gone
I’ve failed to work out where I simply belong…
My life ain’t moved on.

I remember the girls when in class at school
The ones that I fancied but I was never near cool
More shy to be honest more gauged as the fool…
My life ain’t moved on.

There is no comfort in a comfort zone
There is no security on where you’ve come from
I am the fool that insists I’m all wrong…
My life ain’t moved on.
