Madness

The old man has forgotten where he’s going
He stands in the rain and he ain’t got a clue
The more he thinks the less he is knowing
He ain’t really bothered at not knowing what to do.

And the world that we live in ignores the old man
He stands in the rain and he ain’t got a clue
Does society nowadays not give a damn
The old man ain’t bothered at not knowing what to do.

How do you reconcile madness
How do you stare it down and be brave
The world is a question, it ain’t near madness
How do you work the world and be one of the brave?
Why am I thinking of madness
Why is there panic when there isn’t a need
My questions and answers lead to more madness
Why do my victims not bother to read?

The old man has thoughts that see him being done for
He’s got his principles but the world don’t give a damn
The kids will tease him asking what is war
I’m being asking all questions and I answer I’m who I am.
