Agoraphobia

He’s trying to break out of his home again
Agoraphobia is a curse
The panic attacks the anxiety
I doubt if there’s much else that’s worse.

To not have a life just to sit in the house
He’s begging forgiveness for what
He’s tried to escape God so many times
He needs the whole thing to just stop.

He looks with envy at those outside
A prisoner trapped in his house and his mind
The swirling confusion that can’t be defined…
Agoraphobia.
He’s been locked in his home for far too long
He doesn’t know why it all went so wrong
Now going out the door is what doesn’t belong…
Agoraphobia.

He’s been driven to drink but he’s fighting it now
His girlfriend brings all that he needs
He’s not left the house for three years near enough
The shadows of fear never sleeps.
