The questions he is trying to ask
Are out of place with her
She simply cannot understand
He is reaching for his star.

More loudly than his brain

Is he walking in a daydream
Are his problems in his head
Is there meaning left inside him
Or is all his hope now dead.
She has left him – no surprises
He shrugs his shoulders – does he care
He stares at his wall of silence
Then runs from his despair.
