He’s probably a bit older than me
He stands at the bar and we rarely agree
We laugh and we joke he’s good company
It’s great to discuss and not to agree.
His joking is cutting can be loud at the bar
After a few he’s more a comedy star
He’s worked all his life as have I and we’re now here
Smoked and drank all our life we have nothing to fear.
His name is Jimmie but he’s known as Romeo
I ain’t a clue why and I don’t need to know
You don’t get much better just going with the flow
A genuine man and he’s called Romeo.
We’ll often not talk we just stand at the bar
We’re maybe both thinking I guess is our life
The best of it is it’s a silent wife.
